The goal of this course is to improve your leadership, which will improve how you relate to those you work with as well as improve the outcomes of your patients.  Contrary to common belief, good leadership is a learned quality.  Character traits of charisma and personal magnetism are not the same as good leadership.  All providers are leaders in their practice. It doesn’t matter whether you are in academics, employed by a hospital, or in private practice, the fact is, you lead every day!  Others look up to you and  expect direction.  The manner in which you provide leadership will eventually affect the quality, safety and cost of the care you deliver to your patients.  This course will help you identify your present leadership style and then lead you to improve using the concept of “Quality Leadership” that has proven so successful in the corporate world.

The course is designed to be completed in a step wise fashion.  You will encounter the following activities:

• Complete the pretest to ascertain your current knowledge.
• Video presentations with a searchable table of contents.  Note that there are controls on the embedded video on the task bar.  Volume may also be controlled through the video itself as well as through your device.
• Complete the CME test to assess learning and as a CME requirement.  A score of 70% is needed to earn CME credit.  The quiz may be retaken multiple times until the desired score is achieved.
• Complete the course survey to fulfill CME requirements.
• Complete the CME  attestation question.
