MedEd-Stat is a team of business and medical professionals dedicated to teaching all those involved in healthcare, the skills to deliver high quality, safe and low cost care. Whether it be educating providers in business skills, informing patients on their health, or introducing new technology to the market with an effective training program. We has developed a program of study for healthcare providers that is best described as a “Pocket MBA”. The CME/CE certified courses are designed to provide skills and tools that can be used immediately to improve patient satisfaction and care outcomes. Cat 1 AMA Self Assessment CMEs are available to all continuing education courses.
The courses speak to providers at all levels, including physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse case managers, navigators and physician assistants. The value of this knowledge is undisputed as evidenced by its inclusion most physician specialty boards and in the American Nurse Credentialing Center (AANC) maintenance of certification and credentialing requirements.
The modern healthcare team includes physicians, certified registered nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse case managers. Although specific healthcare roles are defined during training, once in the clinical care setting it is team-based healthcare delivery that provides the best results. A team must operate as a unit that encourages and values each member’s contribution to the provision and continual improvement of patient care. Our educational courses and programs are designed to supply the tools to empower every member of that team to contribute to refining the way care patient is delivered.

CME Courses
In an effort to a develop state of the art learning experience, we use an interactive, online learning management system (LMS) platform. Our platform enables us to have a course delivery method that addresses the needs of providers by offering effective learning, which can be accessed anywhere, on anything, at any time and allows them to earn Johns Hopkins Medicine CME/CE. Our mobile experience is seamless. Our LMS also possess a highly sophisticated activity tracking capability. Organizations can track the activity of learners, determine their knowledge acquisition as well as collect course completion rates, number of certificate awards, and satisfaction data. Tracking data of this type and aligning it with patient outcomes may be a very useful feature for patient education.
Patient education courses are also available. It is clear that knowledge of a disease or medical condition correlates with better outcomes. For many reasons, delivering effective education to patients has been a challenge. Educating patients on-line using an interactive state of the art LMS is an effective tool. Patients who take our “Total Knee Replacement” patient education course, has their activity tracked, knowledge acquisition tested, and receive achievement certificates. Case managers and care coordinators will be able to correlate the activity with patient outcomes. It is expected that patients will do better and the cost of their care will decrease.
