This course will review the economics of the ACA, \u00a0the effect of PCMH on patient’s access to your practice, and then the “what to do” in response. \u00a0A central feature of this health care reform is the formation of Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) and Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH). \u00a0It is the PCMH that will dramatically change the market for health care services. \u00a0This course begins with economics. \u00a0Market behavior depends on supply and demand. \u00a0While the health care policy will significantly alter supply and demand of medical services, PCMHs will change how those services are accessed by the public. \u00a0 \u00a0The ACA and PCMH will affect every physician in every specialty in every setting. \u00a0When the market shifts, it occurs quickly, and those unprepared are left behind.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
