Vet Tech Nursing Academy: Welcome and Navigation Guide

This course become available to all enrolled students on Octover 4, 2024.

Welcome to Veterinary Technology and Nursing, .  The course is designed to be completed in a step wise fashion.  Simply begin at the top and go through each lesson and topic.   The platform will not allow you to skip over lessons, topics, or quizzes.  You will encounter the following activities:

  • “Take Notes” capability accessed on the right side bar for storage on the platform for download/print.
  • Course description and learning objectives.
  • Complete the pretest to ascertain your current knowledge.
  • Video presentations with a searchable table of contents.  Note that there are controls on the embedded video on the taskbar.  Volume may also be controlled through the video itself as well as through your device.
  • Assignments (PDF format only) – Download, complete, and upload using the upload tool.
  • Complete the learning assessment and score at least 75% on the quiz.  You may retake the quiz an unlimited number of times.
  • Once the module is completed you will be able to proceed to the next module in the program.
  • If you leave the class, simply click on “Last Completed” upon return to resume progress.

Helpful Hint:  Bookmark your account page and have your Internet browser remember your login credentials.  For mobile users, leave the window open in your mobile browser and access to that window whenever you return to class to avoid login. 

STUDENT RESOURCES

VNTA provides student resources through its online portal. The portal provides access to course content, presentations, images, and readings. Students may also find links to selected courses, handouts and contact information for assistance with tutoring, or additional office hours. The Student Resource Center is located on the VTNA website.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

The VNTA student community consists of working professionals interested in pursuing career advancement and knowledge in veterinary medicine. Therefore, the expectation is that students will conduct themselves in a professional manner that mandates compliance with the rules and regulations of VNTA. Acts of dishonesty such as plagiarism, forgery, alteration or misuse of school documents, records or identification is prohibited. Students must also refrain from the use of indecent, illegal, disruptive language or behaviors. Insubordination of instruction or unreasonable requests of faculty and/or staff will be in direct violation of this student conduct policy and could result in termination from the program.
